Contained within are the musings of a heathen, libertarian, tree-hugging, MMO gaming, personally conservative (for the most part, anyway) military spouse and homeschooling mom of two fabulotasic sons. You know when the United States engages in a WAR suddenly everyone should be Patriotic and Unite together. Yet here is a billboard sign outside a town during the Depression that states homeless men should keep on moving as the town can’t take care of its own. I thought we were all Americans? We sure are when they need people to die for this country. Yet when your starving or without health care, why then, you’re on your own.

jobless men

When your hungry and homeless fend for yourself but when there’s a need for soldiers to fight and die why your suppose to be patriotic and join up, for your country. WoW. How much of a fool do they take us for?

Imagine everything you ever wanted to buy could be made cheaper and better in another country. All your food, clothing, car, house, cell phone, absolutely everything made in another country, better, and cheaper. Now imagine how you would pay for anything if everything was made in another country? This economic plan is called cutting off your nose to spite your face. Its the reason the USA is crumbling. How great is that?

The ideal native living in of course to hunt and trap wild game year round. No farm, just daily living. This is hard to do when city dwellers invent politics to impose their will on others. Cattle, that is cows, are herd animals. Herd animals roam and migrate so that their shit has time to decompose and become harmless in the food supply. But farmers and ranchers fence in areas and claim they own the land as if anyone can own the planet earth.

Fences, permanent housing, and villages emerged. I myself grew up in this sick society and was never told how unnatural town city life was.  The earth should be free range, not a section of it, not a special path but the whole of the earth.

You think politicians, Corporate CEOs, Doctors, Lawyers and Preachers are sick, they are symptoms of a sick ill society that we have built. The extremely wealthy of course own thousands of acres to live on. They come into the city and mine you, farm raise you, then return to their ranch of thousands of acres of natural living without their organic gardens, fresh air, herbal remedies and free range animals of wholesome value.

While some may live in the city, rest assured they have access to plenty of get away time to such havens of nature. One of the great privileges of the good life is a mountain retreat high above the pollution and the electromagnetic frequencies imposed on modern day life.

I know plenty of well off families who get away to a Canadian retreat of a cabin in the forest on a lake. A place so remote a plane or helicopter takes you in and leaves you for a week or two. The cabin has been stocked for you as well as plenty of hunting and fishing with fresh water and fresh air.

What used to be regular life is now a luxury get away package.

So small game animals, a garden and a small downshifting homestead is as close as one will get to the rural life of native living. Small local farms are the best we can hope for as society matures and grows to realize that our current path is fatal.

My wife and I have bought some acreage in a place far away from civilization. It took a portion of our savings but we’re beginning to realize that society is too far along the path of technological destruction. We’ll continue to spread the native living news while maintaining our ‘head for the hills option’ to be used when the signs are perfectly clear time has run out. Definitely 2062 (plus or minus four years) is the dead line.

One day our neighbors will awake to find we have left for safer greener pastures.

Those who think they can buy guns to arm themselves against an organized group equipped with nuclear and scalar weapons are delusional. They know your location and can follow your every move and can immobilize you at any time. When you try to run in your vehicle its ignition system will deactivate. When you try to call your loved ones the cell towers will be off line. When you try to see the TV news the electricity will be turned off.

We have a date for leaving. Rest assured its long before most people realize their goose is cooked. We’ve studied with the best to recognize the signs, the systems and the learned the codes of the Construct.

Rest assured once everyone realizes they’re doomed it will be too late. You can’t wait for your family member or your friend or your neighbor to see the light, if you do, like the Jews in Natsi Germany you will wait too long.

We’ve been learning the skills needed for the survival mode. When it all comes down there won’t be any grocery stores or tv sports. Just friends, loved ones and neighbors who have been chipped dropping dead as the kill switch is pulled one section of the planet at a time. A slow process so not to scare even the dumbest of dumb and dumber.

Many natural born sovereign individuals feel downshifting is a giant step in taking back our lives. I agree. We are different from the Amish in that we embrace the use of technology yet draw the line at Trans-humanism, police state tagging, tracking, monitoring which invades or invalidates our natural born sovereign individuality. We reject the concept to become Assimilated BORG either as individuals or as a society.

A return to our foundation which natural brings us closer to nature by reducing the layers of our lives between us and nature. All around the world Corporations are downsizing eliminating so called waste. You can eliminate the waste of needless middle management between you and the apple you are eating, the entertainment you are viewing and the pace at which you labor. Remember, those who win and become STARS in the rat race are still RATS (the ’star’ spell on you backwards revealing the real spell put on those who win the rat race).

Therefore in the spirit of living a life closer to our own nature we offer this post on Duck Raising. Which we will use to build a natural community within a natural society of natural born sovereign individuals. Once you give up that which makes you human, you’ve lost your soul and trying to take back your country would be a futile goal when you yourself has lost your soul.

May those capable of ceeing and hereing find this message in a blog.

Those who seek to take back their humanity have a clear path. Raise Ducks, Chickens, Rabbits, grow fruits, nuts, vegetables and start your native living. Add edible wild plants to hunting small wild game and you’ve gott et !!

Raising Ducks

Melvin L. Hamre

-

About 22 million ducks are raised annually in the United States. Most are produced under confinement on specialized duck farms in a few commercially important duck production areas. However, many farms still raise a few ducks primarily for family use or local sale. This publication is intended for the latter group.

Ducks are raised primarily for meat. Although most breeds used are relatively poor layers, the flock should be managed to save the eggs produced for food purposes or hatching. The commercial duck industry is built around the Pekin breed. Pekins reach market weight early and are fairly good egg producers, but they are poor setters and seldom raise a brood.

The Rouen is a popular farm flock breed. It is slower growing than the Pekin, but it reaches the same weight over the 5 to 6 month period of feeding and foraging under farm flock conditions. Its slower growth and colored plumage make it undesirable for commercial production.

The Muscovy, a breed unrelated to other domestic ducks, is also used to some extent in farm flocks. They are good foragers and make good setters. Muscovy males are much larger than the females at market age.

Meat production is generally of primary importance in selecting a breed, but egg production for propagation, brooding tendency, and the white plumage that produces an attractive dressed carcass should also be considered.

Keeping small, ornamental varieties of ducks, sometimes called bantam ducks, for exhibition or hobby purposes is increasing. Included in this grouping are White and Gray Calls, Black East Indias, Wood Ducks, Mandarins, and sometimes Teal. Most general poultry shows and some special bantam shows offer classes for these ducks.

From Garden Weeds to Salad Greens

Ah, our spinach, kale and lettuces are now gone for the season. Seeing the spinach yellow overnight after the first 95-degree day is seeing a door slam shut on the “cool” season. This happens, of course, around the first part of May every year, thus you’d think we’d be calm about their departure.

But seeing the actual grief on our customers’ faces never makes us happy, and over the years, we’ve had to come up with other salad options, other greens that are as good raw as they are cooked. And being a bit lazy, we’ve looked around our own farm.

When we acquired this five-acre farm in 1992, with its disintegrating historic farm house, the fields had returned to their roots, so to speak, and were heavily populated with weeds, both native and imported ones. The Johnson grass, originally introduced to feed cattle, we’ve managed to banish to the edges of the farm, but the native plants that are edible by humans have earned our respect over the years, and we protect them where we find them.

We think it’s wise to eat plants that share our environment, plants that basically have been mainstays of the world’s societies for many years.

The factory I worked at for thirty years closed down. I was 52 years old and unemployed for the first time in my life. We live debt free, so our bills were paid. We owned our house and cars, and we had savings in the bank. Two years later my wife lost her foreman’s job at the factory where she worked when it too closed down. Now we were both unemployed and 54 years old.

So it seemed the new economic system was trying to tell us something. “Finally.” I said to my wife, “The economic system and I agree. It doesn’t want me to work and I don’t want to work either.” So we agreed to Downshift all the way, as we were pushed into it anyway. The system had taken our jobs, our pensions, our health care, our dream of a well funded retirement. It was all gone. It’s the best thing that has happened to us.

My wife went back to school and just graduated nursing at Ivy Tech. She now has a job working twelve hours a day for three days a week. She could work more, but we’ve decided to enjoy the life we have now.

Downshifting means doing more with less. Downshifting is the best lifestyle. We didn’t realize that we were already partly living the Downshifting lifestyle and when the current economic system took our jobs we just decided to go 100% Downshifting. Get more out of life with less. Enjoy life more with less !!

As you can see with my wordpress blog Native Living we have always lived closed to nature. So now we offer natural products from Native Remedies. It’s a great company with great natural products. The opportunity fits the Downshifting lifestyle as well !!

Downshifting

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Downshifting is a social behavior or trend in which individuals live simpler lives to escape from the rat race of obsessive materialism and to reduce the “stress, overtime, and psychological expense that may accompany it.”[1] It emphasizes finding an improved balance between leisure and work[2] and focusing life goals on personal fulfillment and relationship building instead of the all-consuming pursuit of economic success.

Downshifting, as a concept, shares many characteristics with voluntary simplicity, but is distinguished, as an alternative form, by its focus on moderate change and concentration on an individual comfort level, a “dip your toes in gently ”[3] approach. In the 1990s this new form of voluntary simplicity began appearing in the mainstream media and has continually grown in popularity among populations living in industrial societies especially the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.[4]
